Ventilation is critical for diesel engines. They need lots of air to breathe. The old clamshells were removed, along with all the deck fills. 4 new Zebra ventilators were installed, 2 shown here, hidden in the black stripe. The other 2 were installed at the aft end of the cockpit, using the new cockpit ceilings to form a plenum.
